I was never a big fan of Rambo movies. Don’t get me wrong, First Blood was a decent action movie and it had a good story but it just never did it for me. I guess the main issue here is Stallone. Yes, Rocky is a great movie but I don’t think his abilities stretch far beyond that film. So it was with much trepidation that I sat down to watch the new movie in the Rambo series, with the imaginative title of Rambo. But as much as I tried to hate this retread, I have to say that it was a pretty good movie. The story has depth and the action is pretty hardcore. Stallone may be getting older but I actually found him more believable as a action star now.
Who knows? I may actually go back and watch that new Rocky movie now.
