For A Few Dollars More is the second film in the Leone/Eastwood Man With No Name trilogy and is as good if not better than the first. The music is genius (the scores get better in each film).

I am glad to say that I should be back on schedule when it comes to posting. I have kept up with watching movies but have fallen behind with posting my “reviews”. Part of the reason was because of my broken down iBook but thanks to the good folks at people at Apple, that is [...]

A Fistful of Dollars is the beginning of a fantastic trilogy of films from Sergio Leone and starring the young and oh-so-badass Clint Eastwood. I’m revisiting these movie because they are some some of the best westerns and action films around. It’s good. Watch it. That is all.

I had to make today a light day when it came to movie choice. I had to fix my mom’s computer, play with my new Macbook which just arrived, and watch the season finale of Lost. So with all the toher things going on, I decided to revisit a classic. Office Space is another movie [...]

Ghost Adventures is a “documentary” that follows the Michael Moore school of film making. There is very little in the way of facts and the filmmakers spend way too much time on camera. I guess they were going for a Ghost Hunters but these guys are definitely not TAPS. They move through things so fast [...]

After seeing Justice League: The New Frontier I had high hopes for this DC animated film and I was quite pleased with what I saw. Superman: Doomsday was a very good movie. Stripped of all of the “Death Of Superman” hype that surrounded the original comics, the Doomsday story is a great tale of a [...]

The Prestige came out at the same time as The Illusionist and while that was a good movie The Prestige wins the contest between these two period films about magic. The story and direction (by Chrisopher Nolan and his brother) are awesome. Christian Bale and High Jackman both give great performances. Plus we get David [...]

I have been wanting to watch this final cut of Blade Runner for some time and I am very pleased. Sometimes these different editions of films add nothing and become tedious. This movie was pretty much a perfect movie to begin with but this new cut adds depth to the story and gives a lot [...]

Justice League: The New Frontier is simply beautiful. It perfectly captures Darwyn Cooke’s artwork from the graphic novel this was based on, and unlike the Ultimates films from Marvel this movie has some pretty good voice work. The movie follows the novel very closely so it’s a very good story. I prefer reading Marvel comics [...]

What else needs to be said about this movie? Evil Dead is a masterpiece. Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are gods among men. That is all.

I have been using Blockbuster Online for the past year or so and I have loved the service. However, they have changed their policy and now you can only exchange a small number of DVDs for in-store rentals every month. Plus their price increased. So I am now trying out Netflix. I have a free [...]

After yesterday’s horrible film, I decided to cleanse my eyes with the stupid genius of Grandma’s Boy. It’s one of those movies that you either love or hate and since this is my sixth time to watch it, I think you know where I stand. Allen Covert co-wrote and stars as a video game tester [...]

Strange Wilderness is a movie that totally slipped by me and that’s surprising because it’s full of people that I really like. The movie stars Steve Zahn, Jonah Hill, Allen Covert, Peter Dante, Justin Long, and Broken Lizard’s Kevin Heffernan. Throw in brief performances from Robert Patrick, Joe Don Baker, Jeff Garlin, and Ernest Borgnine [...]

An Explanation

I know these next few posts are late being added to the site. My laptop broke and I got kind of backed up on posts. I got used to having my laptop with me while watching the films and posting during or right after viewing. But have no fear, I am back in the swing [...]

Here we come to the close of our first annual Will Ferrell Sport Spoof Film Festival with Ferrell’s latest contribution to the genre, Semi-Pro. This movie was not near as good as Talladega Nights but it was slightly better than Blades of Glory (none of them come close to Anchorman…but I digress). Ferrell stars as [...]
